it requires the love for the job. if it isn't for his background, and determination to help kids do well in studies, i think the centre would go bust already. i am very impressed by his sheer grit and passion for his job, and for a moment, i feel really small. i can only do so much for the kids, while people, like my boss, is teaching kids from disadvantaged backgrounds for free.
the session just motivated me to do better, outperform my own expectations. i may have the experience, but i have to keep upgrading, and better myself. the kids depend on my knowledge, i can't let them down.
cliche as it may sound, but some percentage of their future lies in my hands, and like what boss said, if they do well in life in future, they'll remember those who really helped them.
